Award Recipients

From magma evolution to building material crystallization: Ramdohr Award presented to Bjarne Friedrichs and Jonas Kaltenbach for insights into zircon petrochronology and portlandite growth.

The Paul Ramdohr Award for the best oral presentation was presented to Bjarne Friedrichs (Heidelberg University) for his contribution, “Contrasting Magma Evolutions Through Zircon Petrochronology” (co-authors: O. M. Lovera, G. Atıcı, and A. K. Schmitt).

The award for the best poster was presented to Jonas Kaltenbach (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe) for his poster, “Influence of Silanes on the Crystallization of Portlandite Ca(OH)₂” (co-authors: M. Schwotzer, F. Krause, B. Arévalo Galván, V. Janssen, J. Süssmuth, and A. Gerdes).

Apply for the Early Career Award

Young DMG members can apply for the DMG Early Career Award with their contribution to the Annual Meeting. Applications must be submitted to the DMG President by the respective abstract deadline. The Award Committee selects the recipients for the best oral and poster presentations.
