GeoMinBochum 2026
A small, fragile, blue planet - our home.

The DMG Annual Conference 2026 in Bochum will bring together researchers from various fields of mineralogy and the geosciences. It offers a varied scientific programme that addresses current issues relating to our planet’s materials and processes and promotes exchange across disciplinary boundaries.
The focus is on topics ranging from fundamental processes deep within the Earth to near-surface and applied issues. The scope encompasses field-based, analytical and experimental approaches, as well as model-based research.
The conference is being organised by Ruhr University Bochum in collaboration with the German Geological Society and the German Mineralogical Society. Other participants include the German Geosciences Association (DVGeo), the German Mining Museum in Bochum, Fraunhofer IEG, the Geological Survey of North Rhine-Westphalia and Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences. It is closely integrated into national and international networks and provides a forum for discussion, networking and new scientific insights.
