2001 – Jens Paquin und Claudia Speiser

Trace element partitioning in garnet peridotites: Paul Ramdohr Award presented to Jens Paquin for studies on orogenic peridotites in the Alps and Norway.

The Paul Ramdohr Award was presented to two early-career scientists in 2001:

  • Jens Paquin (Heidelberg) for his presentation “Trace Element Partitioning in Orogenic Garnet Peridotites: Case Studies from the Central Alps (Switzerland) and the Western Gneiss Region (Norway),” delivered at the 2001 DMG Annual Meeting in Potsdam.
  • Claudia Speiser (Munich) for her presentation “Exothermic Material Transformation in Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Slag Landfills: Mineralogical and Geochemical Characterisation of Incineration Slags, Material and Heat Balance,” delivered at the 2001 DMG Annual Meeting in Potsdam.

Apply for the Early Career Award

Young DMG members can apply for the DMG Early Career Award with their contribution to the Annual Meeting. Applications must be submitted to the DMG President by the respective abstract deadline. The Award Committee selects the recipients for the best oral and poster presentations.
