On June 6 and 7, 2025, it is that time again: the joint annual meeting of the DMG Sections Petrology/Petrophysics and Geochemistry will take place, offering an opportunity to present exciting current research from both sections and to engage in interdisciplinary scientific discussions. This year, the meeting will be hosted in Potsdam at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences. As is tradition, the event is particularly intended to provide early-career researchers—Master’s students and (post)doctoral researchers—with a platform to present their work in the form of talks or posters.

Venue
The meeting will take place on the Telegrafenberg campus of the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, in Lecture Hall 1–3, House H (see campus map).

Schedule
The event will begin on June 6 at 2:00 p.m. (registration from 12:30 p.m.) and is expected to conclude on June 7 at around 5:00 p.m. with the awards ceremony for the best posters and presentations. The poster session will take place on June 6 starting at approximately 4:30 p.m. A barbecue afterwards will provide a relaxed setting for exchanging ideas and building or maintaining professional connections. Participants will also have the opportunity to join a laboratory tour.

Costs
A participation fee of €40 will be charged to cover catering expenses. External student DMG members may apply for a travel grant of up to €100.
