Together with representatives from the jDGGV, YoungMins organised the programme for you, our next generation of mineralogists, at the joint annual conference of the DMG and DGGV. We kicked off the conference in Bochum with an Early Career Icebreaker and a ‘How to Conference’ for anyone who isn’t yet a seasoned conference-goer.
On Monday 21 September, we rounded off the first day of the conference with a joint pub quiz, where the winning team had the chance to win prizes typical of the Ruhr region. For your scientific contributions, there was also the Young Scientist Session, where early-career researchers in particular could present their Master’s theses or doctoral dissertations, for example, in a supportive environment.
In the exhibition hall, the YoungMins were present at the DMG stand and were on hand to assist you throughout the conference.
